Applying eyeshadow can be a doozy when you don’t use specific techniques in your makeup routine. Here are 3 tips on what you can do to improve your eyeshadow looks:

1. Skin Prep

Skin Prep is always important when applying any cosmetics to your skin. Use a moisturizing eye cream/primer hybrid to ensure no texture shows through your makeup and your eyes stay nice and hydrated. Creating this base will ensure for a flawless finish.

2. Eyes First, Face Second

Whenever doing your makeup, it’s usually best to start with the eyes, especially if you’re going to be doing a colorful look or precise design. This allows you to clean up any mistakes, like shadow fallout, without ruining the entire face.

3. Buy Micro-powder Formula Shadows

If you’re a beginner it’d be in your favor to invest in eyeshadow pallets that have soft, velvet textures to the formula; this is called micro-powder technology. This kind of texture is becoming popular amongst most product developers in makeup, as the formula makes for easily blendable looks. Examples include Fenty Beauty Snap Pallets, Huda Beauty eyeshadow pallets, and Natasha Denona eyeshadow pallets.
