Monday Motivation: After work Build a Booty Chronicles

In society today the pressure to have killer curves is impacting women all over the world of all ages and sizes. Some women turn to plastic surgery which can be costly and even dangerous. It is very concerning when we read about women dying or having complications from injections etc. LaLa Anthony produced a documentary “Killer Curves” exposing the down side of plastic surgery. Young ladies who may not be as curvy are not feeling like they have value in the world. This is a problem we must address. We are not saying that plastic surgery is bad or that women shouldn't make themselves feel good however we want to give women options. There are ways to achieve curves without going under the knife through workouts and training. It will not be instantaneous but overtime with dedication and proper diet you will see a change in your figure. Here are some exercises to enhance the booty the natural way.

1.Single-Leg Glute Bridge

Lie on your back with your knees bent and the soles of your feet on the floor. Extend one leg. On your exhale, squeeze your glutes and push your hips toward the ceiling as high as you can. Pause, then lower until your butt hovers right above the floor, and repeat without touching the ground to complete one rep.

2. Hydrants With Leg Extensions

Get on all fours with your knees directly beneath your hips and your hands under your shoulders. Keeping your knee bent, lift your left leg up and out to the side as high as possible (A). Next, extend your leg straight back so it's in line with your torso (B). Pause, then bring it back to start. Repeat with your right leg. That's 1 rep.

3. Heel Lifted Sumo Squat

The starting position is with your feet slightly wider than shoulders-width apart. The toes are pointed outward. You should lift your left heel and sit on your hips as low as you can. Try to keep your knees behind your toes and keep the balance with your core. Then repeat the same with the right heel upwards.

Try these workouts above to begin your journey and please remember that we come in ALL shapes and sizes. The most important thing is that we are healthy mentally and physically.
