How to Style: Shining Shining Sequins

Updated: Feb 29

Good Morning Indigo Blue Stylers, lets get to *insert Shining by Beyoncé* shining, shining, shining, shining, yeah, with all of these sequins

1) Now you could put on a sequin dress, but then you run the risk of looking like everyone else (and you might be cold), so why not try sequin pants. They will keep you warm and looking totally unique and fabulous. Pair them with a classic white button down, like Kerry Washington, for a classic look, or edge it up with a graphic tee and of course some cute heels. I promise you cannot go wrong with these pants.

2) Do you know what I'm going to say for this tip? I bet you do, because it's so chic and classic! You can dress it up or down for whatever occasion whether it's fancy or casual. You can try it with dress pants and heels or jeans and sneakers and if it's long enough you might even be able to wear it as a dress with some sheer pantyhose and thigh high boots. That's right, it's a BLAZER!!!!! Take a look at how Monica Awe-Etuk styles her sequin embellished blazer dress for a festive look.

3) Not a fan of sequin clothing? That's cool, try carrying a sequin bag. This way you don't have to fully commit to a sequin look. You can use the bag to add some extra flare, without feeling like you are going over board.

Okay Stylers, are you ready to be shining, shimmering, and splendid. Can we appreciate this alliteration AND the fact that I found another song lyric to go with this trend? I mean, c'mon, just for that y'all should share your sequin looks with us on IG,Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest @indigobluestyle!
