Fenty Goes LVMH

Updated: Jun 11, 2019

"Who needs a star designer when you have a real star?!” Barbados native, Rihanna continues to break barriers not only in the music industry but in fashion. Rihanna has become the first African-American woman to lead a brand with LVMH. The Parisian luxury house consists of ready-to-wear, accessories, eyewear, and footwear.

In the words of the 31 year old “They were flexible enough to allow me to have a different perspective on the way I wanted to release things”. Working with such a traditional fashion conglomerate as LVMH they have been understanding while letting the star operate from a digital flagship on a “See-Now-Wear-Now” model.

Don’t be fooled by the calmness of the R&B artist, she has claimed the groundbreaking launch has brought “pressure every single second but it’s not like crumbling pressure, but [more like] ‘you better get it good girl."
