The mother of Baby Phat is back and better than ever before! Kimora Lee Simmons has bought all the rights of her famous women’s streetwear brand and plans for a relaunch this summer.
A bit of a back story of the brand, the fashion mogul first launched back in 2000 to 2010. Baby Phat was an extension of Phat Farm from Phat Fashions and was the most profitable brand; making $1 billion in sales.
The designer has hinted around there being a collaboration during the Baby Phat relaunch but she is keeping the details a secret, shhh.
Expect to see some nostalgia in these pieces along with new designs. The brand is planning to reach out to millennials in providing “mainstream sportswear.” Kimora will be getting ideas from her “personal archive” as well as adding retro and modern looks for the summer drop.
So, be on the lookout this summer as we are all excited for this 2000’s fan favorite!
