“Carrie Fever but soon as the shows over she right back to being my soldier. “ Jay -Z gives a nod to Carrie Bradshaw in his lyrics for 03 Bonnie and Clyde. Carrie Bradshaw is a characater in the HBO hit series Sex and the City played by Sarah Jessica Parker. The show ran from 1998-2004 and became a cultural phenomenon. Carrie Bradshaw took on a life of its own “Carrie Fever “
Carrie the witty sex column writer from New York, is stylish, full of spunk, curiosity, and a lover of love. Her personality is attractively flawed while her taste level is impeccable. She falls hard for men and even harder for shoes but not just any shoes. Addiction is the term used, as she experiences highs and lows from them both and is always in search of the next hit. In fact during Season 1 episode 4 she decides to move from one addiction (men) to an even bigger one (shoes)
Her drug of choice is Manolo Blahnik and she spends lavishly on them. They bring her joy on her feet and pain in her wallet. She Proclaims A WOMEN’S RIGHT TO SHOES after being shamed by a friend (more like an associate) when her beloved Manolo Blahniks go missing at a house party. The friend offers to pay for the stolen shoes then proceeds to shame Carrie for her lavish lifestyle.
What is so great about the show other than the fashion sense, is that there is only one thing that trumps shoes and men, that is her dear friends. They have a very unique bond, they do life together, Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda. Each with a special addiction of their own. A little Carrie Fever resides in us all, the love of men , shoes, and our friends. Often we can’t live with them and can’t bare the idea of being without them.
“I love Sex and The City. It Introduced me to A Group of Women I’ve never touched before.“
“Sometimes its hard to walk in a woman’s shoes that’s why we need really special ones to make it worth the walk “
