The award recognizes the outstanding achievements and performances of Colored People in film, television, theater, music, and literature brought out the best of the best at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena last night.
The award was hosted by Queen Latifah, and honored Serena Williams with the Jackie Robinson Sports Award. And some of our favorites in Black entertainment from Zendaya wearing a glamorous black and green archival Vintage Versace gown, Angela Bassett in effortless white jumpsuit with a deep v-neckline by Greta Constantine, Gabrielle Union-Wade in archival Versace couture and Tracee Ellis Ross in a sleek Brandon Maxwell gown and more stars showed off their glamorous looks at the NAACP red carpet.
