French luxury house Chanel is returning to California to showcase its 2023/24 cruise collection in Los Angeles. As it explains in a press release, the house "returns to California and opens a new chapter in its history with the United States, sixteen years after the 2007/08 cruise show imagined by Karl Lagerfeld in the heart of the Santa Monica airport". “This show is an opportunity for the label to celebrate its ties to the City of Angels,” the house's statement states.
The Chanelcruise 2023/24 show was giving ‘80s Barbiecore vibes in the best way possible, complete with sparkling sequin details throughout the collection, other including aerobic swimsuits, sparkling leisure wear, and trademark tweeds. The collection was accessorized with chunky neck chains, old school leg warmers, and a new bag that promises to become a commercial superstar.
