The Max Mara resort 2023 collection took place at the gardens of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon.

Creative director Ian Griffithsperformed his collection honoring Portuguese culture. The Max Mara resort collection was inspired by the artist Nikias Skapinakis' painting of activist Natália Correia, novelist and poet Fernada Botelho. The collection was divided into three sections.

In the first section we saw cropped turtlenecks and short, shorts layered under elongated blazer jackets, cashmere coats, fitted dresses, pencil skirts and teddy coats in classic tones of white, camel and black.

The Second look was inspired by artisans expert Griffiths shared as ‘handkerchiefs of love’. The look includes long skirts accompanied by matching knitwear, dresses in various cuts and prints.

And lastly Griffiths presented taffeta dresses pleated in purple, ochre, burnt orange, cobalt blue and forest green colors.
