The performance took place in front of Gyeongbokgung Palace's main hall, Geunjeongjeon, which served as the primary location for royal festivities and the reception of foreign visitors during the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910). Gucci’s choice of location pays homage to the beauty of South Korean cultural heritage.
For Gucci cruise 2024 runway show, models wore pieces inspired by Gucci’s 1990s archives rendered in colors from 2010, formalwear with those of sports- and casualwear, bomber jackets morphing into evening skirts, biker jackets that can double as coats, a leather dress, a red dress wrapped in a blue satin bow, cargo pants, were some of the highlights from the show. Embellished horsebit bags, scuba-inspired colorful bags and boots reimagined as mules were some of the accessories used in the collection.
